A Cincinnati Metro battery-electric bus (fleet number 2553) is parked outdoors at a launch event. The bus features a blue wrap with lightning bolt graphics and 'Fully Electric Zero Emissions' lettering along the upper side, along with a multicolored stripe — blue, green, and orange — along the rear. Large white marquee-style letters spelling 'ITS ELECTRIC' are arranged in front of the bus, partially obscuring the Metro logo on the vehicle's side. The Cincinnati Metro logo is visible in the lower-left corner of the image.
After years of testing the technology through hybrids, the agency launched the first two buses of an anticipated 13 to launch by the end of 2027.
