National Express West Midlands has introduced a new bus service for passengers travelling to and from Lichfield.
On Sunday July 22, 2018, the 10A route was extended to serve Lichfield bus station from Walsall, Rushall, Brownhills, Chasetown and Burntwood, seven days a week.
The 10A now runs up to every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday and up to every 60 minutes on Sundays. Crucially, it means that National Express West Midlands is providing a much needed Sunday service to Lichfield following the complete withdrawal of bus services in April this year.
Tom Stables, managing director of National Express West Midlands, said, "We’re pleased to have been able to extend the 10A service into Lichfield as we know local people want reliable, frequent bus travel to and from Walsall.
“Our 10A extension has proven to be popular since it started on Sunday. We hope that customers will continue to take advantage of the new service and that it will continue to go from strength to strength."
With this new link, Black Country residents can board the 10A in Walsall centre and have a day out in Lichfield to enjoy Georgian museums, Lichfield Cathedral and the Three Spires Shopping Centre. They can also travel to the National Memorial Arboretum or visit the great outdoors of Beacon Park or Chasewater Country Park.
In the opposite direction Lichfield residents can make use of the frequent 10A service to travel into Walsall and visit the Walsall Arboretum, The New Art Gallery or keep the kids busy this summer at Adventureland.
