York Region Transit to implement new fare capping program in 2024

The new program will replace monthly passes and allow customers to ride YRT for free after a certain number of rides per month.

York Region Transit (YRT) will begin to implement a new fare capping program, beginning Jan. 1, 2024. 

The new program will replace monthly passes and allow customers to ride YRT for free after 40 trips for adults, 39 trips for youth or 28 trips for senior and child in the calendar month using a PRESTO fare card.
