Dec. 6, 2018
In its third tour in three years, Freedman Seating featured new products and safety solutions for vans and buses, totaling 100,000 miles traveled across the US and Canada since 2016.

Freedman Seating Company recently completed a 10-month tour of the United States promoting the latest in transit seating for the small and mid-size bus markets. Combining product and safety education with promotional opportunities, the Show On The GO was Freedman’s third tour in three years, following the successful Rock N Rose Tour (2016) and Transit USA Tour (2017).

The #ShowOnTheGO tour, featuring Freedman seats and other products made in America, kicked off in early February making its way to bus dealers, operators, manufacturers and trade shows spanning 40+ states. Freedman Seating sales managers added 45,000 miles to a 2017 Ford Transit 350. A total of 100,000 miles have been toured by the FSC crew since 2016.

“We continue to focus on safety with the Show On The GO,” said John-Paul Paonessa, Marketing Manager. “Customers should know that Freedman Seating is serious about keeping passengers safe with 3-point belts and other restraint options,” he added.

In addition to visiting more than seventy dealers, operators, OEMs and government agencies, the tour made stops at several industry events, including SWTA Freedom Through Transit Annual Conference, APTA Bus & Paratransit Conference, and more.

“Dealers, OEMs and operators were amazing once again. They continue to show a genuine interest in our visits,” said Dave Rose, Regional Sales Manager.

The van was fitted with a rotation of 8-10 passenger/driver seats. Featured 3-point seats included the 3PT Seat, GO Seat, GO-ES, and Esquire. Other products and features included the Trieste, Palermo and Venezia seats with new coach-style armrests by FMS Seating (also with 3-point seat belts), G2ELP Driver Seat feat. P1M Mechanical Suspension by USSC, Priority Seating, and USB Power Outlets.

Additional products and support was made possible by these trusted partners: USSC Group, Transit Works, Altro Floors, CMI Enterprises, Camira Fabrics, and Abercrombie Textiles, and Morbern. Although the official tour has ended, Team Freedman plans on continuing their efforts to educate customers and industry professionals.

“We look forward to visiting friends and partners throughout the US and Canada as products develop and safety regulations change,” says Rose. “Meeting new faces and training our customers, and their customers, is always a pleasure.”
