Merrimack Valley Transit’s RFP for Design, Production & Delivery of Two Net-Zero Solar-Powered Electric Ferries
Merrimack Valley Transit (MeVa), located at 85 Railroad Avenue, Haverhill MA, is seeking qualified design-build contractors to submit proposals for the design, production and delivery of two (2) solar-powered net-zero emissions electric ferries in accordance with the Scope of Work in this RFP document.
This project will allow MeVa to construct two solar driven ferries demonstrating green transportation solutions to restore ferry services on the Merrimack River between the Cities of Haverhill and Newburyport. The ferry will pass towns within our transit services area such as Groveland, Merrimac, City of Amesbury, West Newbury, and Salisbury. Marinas and public landings are located along both banks of the river where we will establish a seasonal route.
