A small fire on a southbound NJ Transit train forced the evacuation of 15 passengers early Sunday morning.

A small fire on a southbound NJ Transit train forced the evacuation of 15 passengers early Sunday morning.

NJ Transit spokeswoman Lisa Torbic said Train 3505, originating from Trenton, was headed to Camden when a small fire broke out in the light rail's engine near the Bordentown station at 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

The Bordentown Township Fire Department had the fire under control in about 45 minutes.
