Advertising Vehicles - which has the contract with the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority to sell the naming rights and advertising on the Cincinnati Streetcar - has announced a streetcar advertising contract with the local restaurant Tom + Chee for interior advertising.

"The street car is going to make a big difference downtown for locals, for visitors to the city, and for business owners like us. It gives people the opportunity to move around the city, to try new restaurants, to stop into new shops, and to see and do more than they could on foot. For us, that means having the ability to expand our customer base beyond a few blocks' radius of our Court Street location, and is going to allow us to start staying open for dinners downtown. We're incredibly excited about that opportunity," said Corey Ward, co-founder of Tom + Chee and the person in charge of Tom + Chee's marketing and branding.

"We sold our first grilled cheese sandwich on Fountain Square in 2009 and we've been invested in downtown Cincinnati ever since. It's been fun and exciting to grow our business in this city - from one store to 32 across the country - and to see the city grow and change at the same time. We're looking forward to continued growth and development in Cincinnati, and we believe the street car is going to be a huge driver for that."

It was recently announced that UC Lindner College of Business, Rhinegeist, Richter & Phillips Jewelers, Four Entertainment Group, Taste of Belgium, and Kerry Toyota have purchased advertising on the streetcars, and several other advertising contracts are being finalized.
