Joseph G. Pulicare has been named chief operating officer of the U.S. transportation sector of Parsons Brinckerhoff.
In his new position, Pulicare is responsible for a diverse range of activities that support the overall positioning of the company and contribute to achieving annual sales, overhead and profit goals. His operational responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic plans, developing new client relationships, oversight of market/pursuit intelligence gathering, resource deployment, and regional profit and loss analysis and management. He will also serve as a principal on major pursuits and projects. He will be based in the Philadelphia office.
A nationally recognized transportation industry executive, Pulicare has more than 37 years of experience. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was executive vice president and chief executive for transportation for the Americas operations of an international consulting engineering organization. He was responsible for all transportation operations in North, South, and Latin America, providing leadership and oversight across all markets, including highway/bridge, transit, aviation, port and marine, and freight rail. He has been a senior executive with several other consulting engineering organizations and previously served as a program manager and principal engineer with New Jersey Transit.
Pulicare received a master of science degree in civil engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a bachelor of science in civil and environmental engineering from Clarkson University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Public Transportation Association, and WTS International.
