Victor Martinez has been named area manager for the Orange and San Bernardino, California offices of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Victor Martinez has been named area manager for the Orange and San Bernardino, California offices of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.

In his new position, Martinez will support diversification and growth, drive strategic direction, and lead the firm’s management team in Orange County and the Inland Empire. Some of the firm’s recent projects in the region include the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, the San Bernardino Transit Center, the I-15 Express Lanes Project; and the rehabilitation of a runway at Palm Springs International Airport. 

Martinez has 37 years of transportation industry experience in California. He has managed numerous complex, high-profile transportation projects throughout the state, from highway corridors involving dozens of complex structures to significant interchange and highway widenings, which included serving as project manager for the Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project in Los Angeles; principal-in-charge for the Transportation Corridor Agency’s program management contract; the I-215 Reconstruction/Widening, Segments 1 and 2 for the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority and Caltrans District 8; and project manager for the I-5/SR 55 PSR for the Orange County Transportation Authority and Caltrans District 12. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he led the California highway/bridge division of an international engineering organization.

A licensed professional engineer in California, Martinez received a B.S. in civil engineering from California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. He is a member of the Women’s Transportation Seminar in the Inland Empire, Los Angeles and Orange County chapters, and a past president of the Orange County chapter of the American Council of Engineering Companies.
