Affordable-housing organizations are calling plans to subsidize a dense commercial and residential corridor around Donelson's train stop inadequate for the region's most vulnerable residents. 

The proposal, Nashville's first transit-oriented development district, is viewed as a guide for Metro neighborhoods to further transit goals despite the recent referendum loss.

The Donelson Transit-Oriented Development District would be a government-subsidized, planned dense commercial and residential corridor around the neighborhood's Music City Star stop.
