Madisonville's first foray into public transit just celebrated its anniversary, having served around 24,000 riders during its first year.
Go Madisonville Transit, a joint project between Madisonville and Pennyrile Community Services Inc., sent buses out for the first time just over a year ago on May 22, 2017. Jeff Browning, local PACS representative, said that the goal was to provide affordable transportation for those without cars and the disabled.
