A new transportation program will offer free, unlimited Lextran transportation services to Lexington’s homeless population.
The upLIFT program is scheduled to launch in Fall of 2018, and aims to eliminate transportation barriers for those who are homeless and seeking employment, medical services, child care, housing, or other basic living activities.
Organizers estimate the program will serve about 1,800 people within its first year.
