Econolite Group’s David St. Amant to Retire at the End of 2016
Econolite has announced that Company president and COO David St. Amant will retire at the end of 2016. St. Amant will use the last half of the year to complete current projects and help Econolite successfully fulfill the management transition plans for his successor.
“David’s strategic vision is evident in the advancements here at Econolite, and in the progression of the transportation industry,” said Econolite CEO Mike Doyle. “Under David’s direction, the Company has grown to be a complete ITS solutions provider, successfully managing the convergence of electronic, communication, and information technologies – the building blocks for the Connected Vehicle and Smart City networks.”
St. Amant joined Econolite in 2002 as President and COO, immediately overseeing the Company’s global operations. St. Amant drove the continued development of strategic partnerships and operational excellence, ensuring Econolite Group delivers best-in-class products and services, raising the bar for ITS solutions.“I want to thank David for his leadership and enthusiasm for quality and innovation, which has positioned the company for continued growth. It’s obvious that advancing transportation effectiveness became David’s passion during his tenure here,” added Doyle.
In 2016, St. Amant was inducted into the ITSA Hall of Fame. He is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors for ITSA, and prior to that he served as Chair of Business and Policy Council. St. Amant served as Chair of NEMA, Transportation sector. He is one of the founding members of the ITS America Leadership Circle, as well as a founding member and co-Chair of the Mobility Transformation Center – University of Michigan Leadership Circle. He is a member of the Vehicle-to-Infrastructure Deployment Coalition (V2IDC) Executive Committee and Chairs the ITS America Legislation Steering Committee.
