Transdev announces retirement of President-emeritus Michael Setzer

Setzer retires after nearly 50 years in the transit industry.

Transdev has announced the retirement of President-emeritus Michael Setzer after a nearly 50-year career in the transit industry.

Prior to his appointment as president of Transdev, he served in chief executive roles in many U.S. transit systems including Cincinnati and St. Louis, and was a founder of Professional Transit Management, now a part of Transdev.

He was also the general manager of Minneapolis-St Paul’s Metro Transit during the construction and commissioning of its first LRT line, the Blue line, and CEO of Long Island’s Nassau Inter-County Express, the nation’s largest Public-Private Operating Partnership. Setzer's projects won the American Public Transportation Association's Innovation award twice.

Transdev says it expresses deep gratitude for his many contributions to and accomplishments in the company and the industry and extends its best wishes as he starts his new adventure.
