The shelter has sliding doors, can seat four people or shelter eleven standing and incorporates real time information for bus arrivals.

Future Systems has provided new Air-Conditioned Transit Shelters for Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation, with the first prototype installed at Hialeah Metrorail station. The shelter has sliding doors, can seat four people or shelter eleven standing and incorporates real time information for bus arrivals. The department was looking for a solution to improve public transportation, with one of the main complaints from transit riders in south Florida being waiting for buses under the sun, and with a high ridership of the elderly, Miami wanted to deliver protection and comfort to its passengers.
