Take a Selfie with UTA's Sam the Safety Martian

Utah Transit Authority riders may notice something a little unusual the next time they board TRAX. “Sam”, the UTA Safety Martian, will be riding the Red, Blue and Green lines throughout the rest of the month.

Utah Transit Authority riders may notice something a little unusual the next time they board TRAX. “Sam”, the UTA Safety Martian, will be riding the Red, Blue and Green lines throughout the rest of the month. He’s been placed on UTA's rail system as a reminder help keep UTA safe by notifying Transit PD anytime riders see something out of the ordinary or potentially dangerous. If riders spot something that just doesn’t look right, report it to Transit PD at 801-287-EYES or text CRIMES (274637) and start the text with “UTA Tip” and a description of the incident.

Spot Sam on a train? Take a selfie with him, tag UTA on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram at @RideUTA and use the hashtag #OutOfTheOrdinary. UTA will pick our favorite three entries next Thursday, August 31 and give winners the choice of a UTA 30-day pass or a UTA messenger bag.
