Alstom Appoints Laurent Martinez as Chief Financial Officer

Alstom has appointed Laurent Martinez as chief financial officer, effective July 1, 2018.

Alstom has appointed Laurent Martinez as chief financial officer, effective July 1, 2018. He will report to Alstom Chairman and CEO Henri Poupart-Lafarge and be a member of Alstom Executive Committee.

“We are pleased to welcome Laurent Martinez. His wealth of experience in large-scale international engineering projects, as well as his solid track-record in working in a multi-cultural environment fit particularly  well with this new phase of Alstom’s development” said Poupart-Lafarge.

In 1996, Laurent joined Astrium (now Airbus Defence and Space), where he held various functions in finance controlling. At the creation of EADS in 2001, he was named head of controlling space & defence division, based in Munich. In 2004, he became chief financial officer (CFO) of Astrium Space Transportation. Laurent moved to Airbus in 2009 and became Head of Airbus Group controlling and accounting. Since 2015, Laurent has been head of Airbus Services Business Unit.

Laurent Martinez is a graduate of ENSEEIHT engineering school in Toulouse and holds a Master degree in finance and accounting.
