Tickets for the annual Coaster Holiday Express Train rides went on sale November 12 and were sold out in just one week. On Saturday, December 12, two specially decorated Coaster trains will offer a round-trip ride with Santa and his friends that will be enjoyed by more than 1,500 parents and children who were lucky enough to get their tickets for this popular event offered by North County Transit District.
Families and children will ride on a magical holiday train with Santa Claus and his friends. North County Transit District’s Coaster Holiday Express is a specially decorated train that features photo opportunities with Santa and his friends and classic carol singing for children of all ages. Each of the two, six car, Coaster Holiday Express trains will travel a 65-minute non-stop, roundtrip from Oceanside to Solana Beach.
“Even in sunny Southern California, a holiday train ride with Santa will be a magical memory for the children joining us on this year’s Coaster Holiday Express,” said Matt Tucker, NCTD executive director. “We have planned a special train adventure with Santa and his friends that will be filled with fun, music and photo opportunities for these lucky North County families.”
Families who missed out on tickets this year are encouraged to watch for next year’s ticket sale which will be announced in mid-October 2016 on www.gonctd.com.
