Skanska USA has promoted Dennis Yung to the position of executive vice president and general manager where he’ll oversee the Houston and Dallas areas.
Yung brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial construction. He initially joined the company in 1999 and most recently served as senior vice president and national preconstruction director. In his time with Skanska, Yung has focused on innovative and strategic initiatives that advance the preconstruction and project planning services group. He has a wealth of regional project experience including the Texas A&M University Agriculture Headquarters Complex, Harris Health System Smith Clinic and the 3009 Post Oak office tower in the Galleria.
In this new role, Yung oversees Skanska’s USA Building’s Houston and Dallas offices while focusing on developing new client relationships, managing construction projects and cultivating new opportunities throughout the Texas market.
“We are excited that Dennis will be serving as the executive vice president and general manager for Houston and Dallas,” said Paul Hewins, president and CEO of Skanska USA Building. “In his 20 years with Skanska, Dennis has proven himself as a valuable leader, advancing preconstruction services for our offices across the Central U.S. and furthering Skanska’s commitment to creating a safe, injury-free environment. We look forward to his contributions in this new leadership role and are confident that he will help us achieve continued success as we identify new construction opportunities in Texas.”
Yung holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction from Texas A&M University. He currently resides in Houston.
