VIA Metropolitan Transit has appointed Brian Dillard as vice president of technology and innovation. Dillard will oversee VIA Metropolitan Transit's departments of transportation technology, information services, technology operations and information technology client services. Among his charges, Dillard will lead his department to maximize the effectiveness of data collection, processing and reporting.
“I’ve served in the military and worked in the private and public sectors and am excited to take on a new challenge at VIA, an organization driven by talented, dedicated employees,” Dillard said. “Everyone at VIA — from the technology team to our frontline — is focused on the same mission: To serve and connect our community, every day.”
Dillard is one of three recent additions to VIA's leadership team with the appointments of John G. Clamp as chief administration officer and Rod J. Sanchez, AICP, as senior vice president of planning and development.
“Each brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and dedication to our mission of keeping San Antonio moving and pushing the agency to new heights,” said Jeffrey C. Arndt, VIA Metropolitan Transit president and CEO. “Their addition to our team underscores VIA’s commitment to revolutionize the agency and create a better, more efficient multimodal transit authority that meets the needs of our growing community but it also personifies the reality that VIA is a choice employer in the region that is attracting top talent to help drive our mission forward.”
