Complete Coach Works (CCW) has begun delivery of buses to First Group for City of Cerritos. The contract, which calls for the rehabilitation of five buses, was awarded earlier this year. Two of the five buses have been completed and delivered to City of Cerritos.
The scope of work varied from bus to bus depending on the initial inspection; they are being inspected for repairs while other parts are already scheduled for replacement. Some of the components being replaced include engines, transmissions, suspension parts, radiators, batteries, power steering pumps, surge tanks, and exhaust components.
Kevin O’Brien, general sales manager at CCW, shared, “it is very important that transit properties keep their buses reliable and in good condition for their passengers. We are very appreciative that First Group has chosen us to be the ones to help maintain their high standard.”
The project is scheduled to be completed early-2017.
