Gigavac announces two additions to its high voltage contactor line of advanced switching solutions.

Gigavac announces two additions to its high voltage contactor line of advanced switching solutions.

The HX21 and HX200 join the HX22 as the smallest UL508 recognized contactors for high current switching at 1000Vdc.  Designed and manufactured in the U.S. by Gigavac, the HX series features the Epic Seal. This provides complete protection beyond what is offered by traditional hermetic seals.

UL rated for switching 175 amps at 1000Vdc and a continuous duty up to 300 amps the HX series was developed for use in solar combiner boxes and inverters.  These are also a contactor choice for any application requiring sealed arc-free switching.  Lightweight and compact, only about one pound,  the HX series utilizes Gigavac’s Epic sealed switching technology which means it can be used in nearly any harsh environment including under water and at temperatures from –55°C to 85°C.

HX contactors are not position sensitive. And, now with the addition of the HX21 and HX200 there are multiple mechanical footprint options allowing for mechanical arrangement in any circuit.  High efficiency coils are offered in 12, 24, or 48Vdc versions. GIGAVAC’s dual coil design means low coil power consumption and no EMI emission or crosstalk.
