The Macatawa Area Express has won a second Bronze Telly Award for its computer animated “Out of the Box Christmas” television commercial that was broadcast locally on cable TV networks during the holidays.
Produced by SVS Productions of Holland, the 30-second commercial promotes “giving the gift of freedom” by giving MAX bus passes as holiday gifts.
In the spot, gift boxes bounce onto the screen, and the ribbons on a big red box opens up to reveal MAX bus passes floating among falling snowflakes. The box then closes up and ribbons wrap up the box with a bow. Sleigh bells were mixed into MAX’s familiar jingle, originally created by SoundPost of Grand Rapids, to give the spot a holiday sound.
The MAX holiday TV ad can be viewed on MAX’s website at www.catchamax.org/about-us/max-tv-ads.html.
The Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online film and video. MAX announced last week it has won a 2013 Bronze Telly Award for its new Twilight Route ad, which also was produced by SVS Productions of Holland. MAX won two Bronze Telly Awards for its 2009 TV commercials that were produced by Grooters Productions of Holland.
Winners are selected from over 13,000 entries annually worldwide. Entries are judged on a 100-point scale by a panel consisting of top advertising and video production professionals who are past winners. Entries with scores of 90 or higher receive Silver awards, while those with scores of 70-89 are given Bronze awards.
