The Government of Canada and Halifax Regional Municipality will be investing up to $5.6 million in joint federal-municipal funding for projects to improve Halifax Transit infrastructure and service.
The federal government is providing over $2.1 million through the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund with the Halifax Regional Municipality providing the remainder of funding.
According to a release issued by Infrastructure Canada, projects include improvements to the Halifax and Alderney Landing Ferry Terminal pontoons and the purchase of eight conventional buses.
