Cobb’s road map to a potential expansion of transit services remained a work in progress Wednesday as county commissioners and Cobb legislators gave no public indication as to how the county should proceed.
Meeting officially face-to-face on the issue for the first time since passage of a metro Atlanta transit bill, the elected officials did not provide an answer to the key question: whether to seek a county-wide referendum authorizing a sales tax increase to fund new projects, or to create a special district within the county in which the transit projects would be built and the tax levied.
