The MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge Presents: Urban Transit E-Tickets Gain Traction

April 25, 2011 - April 25, 2011
Many transit authorities around the world (London, Paris, Singapore, Beijing, Riga, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Dallas) have or are looking to deploy open fare collections systems based on open international ISO standards. They are replacing their proprietary, closed-loop systems with solutions that reduce operational costs and move to contactless smart cards and other forms of prepaid fares, such as stickers, fobs and cell phones using NFC technology. This presentation will feature suppliers, users, integrators and analysts discussing the deployments of such systems and the future of e-ticketing in North America.
