The Tempe bus garage was designs for natural gas vehicles. The buses are backed in so they can all be accessed from a common center aisle.

During the South West Transit Association's Freedom Through Transit Conference, attendees were treated to a tour of Valley Metro's bus maintenance facility in Tempe, Arizona.

The facility includes administrative offices, driver facilities, a bus maintenance building, an LNG/CNG fueling center and bus wash. Employees maintain and service 250 at the facility. The project earned LEED-NC Gold certification for the administration and the maintenance components.
