The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority’s governing board has green-lighted that agency’s takeover of transit services at the University of Toledo.
Under terms approved Thursday by the TARTA board of trustees, the university will pay the transit authority $987,076.20 per year for the first three years of a 10-year contract, while the price for the following years will be adjusted for inflation.
TARTA will continue operating all existing on-campus routes, while UT students, staff, and faculty will gain free access to the entire TARTA network starting June 25.
