Engie announced the launch of its IP-based communications systems for public transit system. This module, part of the Navineo Intelligent Transportation Systems & Services offering, offers traditional radio-communications features without having to maintain a private radio infrastructure.

Seamless and carrier agnostic

Seamlessly integrated to our CAD/AVL system, you get all radio features such as group calls, private calls, emergency calls and alarms, and can function on any data carriers, allowing you to choose your primary provider for safe and reliable voice and data communications. The solution has been designed with public transportation application in mind and support all your voice and high-speed data requirements.

With less than 100 Mo per month, all CAD/AVL and voice communication requirements are met, therefore not using more data than agencies usually use with their data plan.

By using the Navineo VoIP module, transit agencies can experience reliable, high-speed communications, while saving up to 50% of what a traditional radio communications system would cost them.

Transit agencies in France, such as Troyes and Annecy, already took advantage of this system for a successful integration into their bus operations.

The VoIP module is not only communications platform for dispatchers and bus operators, but also for your mobile workforce, such as road supervisors using the mobile road supervisor’s app. The mobile road supervisor’s app can call a vehicle, be included in a group call launched by the dispatch, received a distress call in live plus an associated notification.
