OSPT Alliance has boosted its membership by welcoming 15 new members in the past six months bringing its total membership to 86.

The priorities of the association are driven by its membership base, comprising representatives from a wide spectrum of solution providers from across the security, ID, payment, access control and transport sectors.

Linxens (France) has joined the association as a Full Member, while the new Associate Members include ALFB (Brazil), Alinc (USA), Dataprom (Brazil), Delerrok (USA), Innova Acao (Brazil), Kenetics Innovations (Singapore), Miskimmin Group Ltd (UK), MK Smart (Vietnam), Transdata Smart (Brazil), Wuxi Huajie (China) and University of Catalonia (Spain).

OSPT Alliance has also welcomed MPESO (Nicaragua), phg (Germany) and SC Soft (Singapore) to its new Affiliate Membership level while existing members, Brush Industries (USA) and Crane Payment Innovations (USA) have upgraded their membership status from Associate level to Affiliate level. Affiliate membership is available to reader and terminal manufacturers, and system integrators within the ticketing landscape.

“Our latest new members represent a wide spectrum of the ticketing value chain and a large number of geographies,” commented Laurent Cremer, executive director of OSPT Alliance. “It is encouraging to see that these companies have acknowledged the value that the CIPURSE standard can bring to their deployments and our aim now is to work with our new and existing members to fully understand the challenges they face and learn how the work of OSPT Alliance can help address these pain points.”

“As part of this effort, OSPT Alliance has listened to the market and recognised the importance of creating a platform to encourage and simplify engagement for terminal manufacturers and system integrators,” continued Cremer. “In April we launched our Affiliate membership level to support system component readiness and the availability of integration services locally. It is encouraging to see a number of companies already participating at this level within OSPT Alliance.”

In 2018 OSPT Alliance will continue to evolve its focus, recognising the value of its non-proprietary open standard CIPURSE in access control, security, ticketing, payments and loyalty. Transport ticketing will remain a continued priority for OSPT Alliance and it is continuing to assist the industry in its move towards the next generation of secure, cost-effective and open flexible fare collection solutions.

Part of this work includes its ongoing contribution to HCE, through advancing the use of CIPURSE tokens in enabling contactless mobile ticketing. This software-based technology can enable operators today to deliver mobile ticketing services and support Mobility as a Service (MaaS).

Influencing the activity on HCE and MaaS is a benefit of membership. Other benefits include technical standardization and strategic activity within OSPT Alliance, early stage market intelligence, market influence and profile, and enhanced networking and collaboration opportunities.
