Pro-Vision Video Systems, the proven industry leader in commercial mobile video technology, has enhanced the storage capabilities of its High-Definition Bus Video Recording System to provide more than two years’ worth of video recording time from one Solid-State Drive (SSD).
While traditional hard drive technology could affordably store video for years, it wasn’t designed for mobile environments. The rugged and reliable Solid-State design of the Pro-Vision System is built to perform in the field, all while affordably providing the storage capabilities needed to store years’ worth of video.
As part of the Future-Ready capabilities of the system – with Pro-Vision providing continuous updates of DVR and desktop software features – users will be able to utilize up to four terabytes (TB) of storage for their video files. With the expanded storage capabilities, the system allows for over two years of Constant Video recording without filling up the SSD, depending on the number of cameras per vehicle, hours of recording per day and other factors.
When activated by the vehicle’s ignition, the system is designed to begin loop recording Constant Video to the SSD. With more than two years’ worth of storage space, users have the peace of mind knowing they will be able go back months or even years at a time to find their vital video.
The Pro-Vision System also utilizes the industry’s best video compression – H.264 High-Profile File Compression – to enable users to save more video files while still using minimal storage space.
“We want to ensure our systems are ready of years of reliable service,” said Andrew Beach, director of sales & service at Pro-Vision. “This is part of our commitment to providing the latest advancements in technology for our customers.”
