With advanced networking and computing technologies, automation and instant data acquisition in public transportation have been widely implemented for improved passenger experiences. To assist transportation companies with intelligent and networked transportation system, Lanner launched its EN50155-certified rolling stock computing system LVR-5700. The system is purposely designed for rail applications by offering powerful CPU, rich I/Os, M12-protected PoE ports and robust ruggedness to withstand external impacts, making it the perfect solution for train monitoring, infotainment, security surveillance and rail management.
When trains are on the move, considerable vibrations and shocks may be encountered. To withstand the external impacts, LVR-5700 has gone through extensive vibration and shock testing. The robust platform has been EN50155 certified for its endurance against parameters including temperature, humidity, shock and vibration. To further ensure its environmental reliability, LVR-5700 has also passed MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration certification. With both EN50155 and MIL-STD-810G, LVR-5700 ensures a reliable platform for rolling stock computing.
Since rolling stock systems require substantial computing power, LVR-5700 features Intel Haswell Core i7-3517UE CPU to deliver exceptional performance in data acquisition, video surveillance, infotainment and train networking.
LVR-5700 offers eight M12-protected PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) ports. With PoE connectivity, LVR-5700 may function as on-board hub for passenger wireless services, train-to-ground communications and IP camera surveillance. The high PoE density allows trains to be networked and connected for intelligent automation and management.
This fanless rolling stock system also boasts an abundance of I/O and internal expansion capabilities including 2 x swappable 2.5-inch drive bays, 2 COM ports, 3 video ports (DVI-D/HDMI/VGA), 6 x USB ports and DIDO port, making it perfect for rolling stock control and monitoring, infotainment, video surveillance and rail management.
