Regular Toronto Transit Commission riders are in store for another custom Metropass this month. On sale now through Tues., Feb. 6, the February Metropass features an image of a prominent street mural created by artists Jessie Durham and Melissa Luk. The piece was commissioned by the Riverside BIA in celebration of their 2011 re-branding to a gateway to Toronto’s vibrant east end.
This year’s Metropasses will feature images of different ‘distinctly Toronto’ murals from GTA neighbourhoods. The January pass honored the history of the Scarborough Junction with an image of street art created by @Omen514.
Metropasses are available for purchase at collector booths and participating TTC fare agents and are $146.25 for adults and $116.75 for seniors (65+), students (13-19) and post-secondary students with valid ID.
The TTC reminds customers that monthly passes for adults and seniors are also available on PRESTO at the same prices.
