Hybrid Battery Trains

The new hybrid trainset concept from Siemens Mobility features a hybrid battery car to accompany Siemens’ latest sustainable long-distance Charger locomotive. This new product allows for emissions-free operation in areas not allowing diesel operations such as tunnels and stations, recuperates braking energy, enhances acceleration for shorter travel times and can ultimately lead to improved fuel efficiency.
