Foothill Gold Line Azusa Stations' Dedication Sept. 19

Sept. 16, 2015

The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority will be dedicating both the Azusa Downtown Station and APU/Citrus College Station in a ceremony Sept. 19, at 9:30 a.m. This final dedication concludes a series of ceremonies held in August and September that celebrate the upcoming substantial completion of construction for the nearly $1 billion, six-station Foothill Gold Line light rail project from Pasadena to Azusa.

The project is on time and on budget to be turned over to Metro for pre-revenue service in late-September. Metro anticipates starting pre-revenue service in Fall and passenger service in Spring. An opening date for passenger service has not yet been determined; however, during the Arcadia Station dedication, Metro CEO Phillip Washington revealed that the agency would announce a date for passenger service to begin within 30 days of project turn-over.
