Depending on the operating environment, customers can use either the ZoneGuard fixed or portable detection system. The portable kit is just under 5 lbs. to transport the equipment from jobsite to jobsite, while the fixed system is permanently installed and provides 24/7 train tracking capabilities.

Ballast Excavator
Arva Industries recently delivered its new diesel-powered Vacuum Ballast Excavator. The excavator is designed to collect track ballast from around rail ties during maintenance and repairs. It also helps with drain cleaning . The hydrostatic 512 hp Tier 4 final, bi-directional machine features 35,000 lb. tractive effort and a top speed of 30 mph. The remote-operated vacuum system includes a 20-yard bin for collecting and dumping ballast. A water spray system is installed at the vacuum end of the vehicle for dislodging debris for easier vacuuming.

Now available with fast-recharge Lithium Ion batteries, the 636 EZ is ideal for washing all transit van and bus size vehicles up to 13’6” height. A single operator walks the machine around the vehicle as the bus washer applies soap, water, power scrubs and rinses, completing a job in six to eight minutes.

Transmission Jacks
Stertil-Koni's hydraulic transmission jacks can be used to safely remove a bus transmission.Transmission jacks (TJ) are designed to facilitate the removal of transmissions and other under chassis components. Ideal for servicing all heavy-duty vehicles, they can be used in conjunction with above ground lifts or in-floor pits. TJs come in compressed air or onboard battery models, each with two direction tilt and restraining straps. Stertil-Koni’s four TJ models have broadened “X” shaped base frame which helps improve stability and access. Fine-tuning adjustments for optimal positions and hydraulic one-touch lifting can also be added.
