BCRTC President and General Manager Michel Ladrak to step down

April 6, 2022
Ladrak’s leadership has made a substantial impact on BCRTC, most notably through his work to strengthen BCRTC’s employee and safety culture.

BC Rapid Transit Company (BCRTC) President and General Manager Michel Ladrak announced he is stepping down from his role to pursue another opportunity closer to home in Europe.

During his tenure, Ladrak’s leadership has made a substantial impact on BCRTC, most notably through his work to strengthen BCRTC’s employee and safety culture. He has worked hard to move the organization forward during these extraordinary times by prioritizing the continuous development of leaders. Thanks to this commitment, he is leaving both SkyTrain and West Coast Express in a better position for future renewal and expansion.

TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn says Ladrak’s decision to work closer to home is personal, and the agency wishes him all the best on his new career path, adding that while they are sad to see him go, they understand and support his decision.

Ladrak’s last day will be June 10. Following his departure, Mike Richard, the vice president of operations at BCRTC, will take on the role of interim president and general manager while BCRTC’s Board of Directors conducts the search for a permanent successor.
