Denver RTD Board outlines process to select top finalist for interim CEO

Jan. 16, 2020
Feedback can be submitted through Jan. 23, by email or anonymous online comments.

The Denver Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) Board of Directors has outlined the next steps to select a top finalist for the agency’s interim general manager and CEO.

The Board also invites RTD employees and the public to provide their comments about the five finalists being considered for the role

Through Jan. 23 at 5:00 p.m., comments will be accepted in three ways, including an opportunity for people to provide input anonymously through an online feedback form. All feedback will be compiled and shared with the board. The comments are one of the components the board will consider in its final decision-making for the interim leader.

RTD employees and the public can submit their thoughts in one of the following ways:

By completing a brief online feedback form offered in English and Spanish, asking respondents to choose their selected finalist and provide feedback on their selection. This is the easiest way to provide input and is available for those who want to keep their comments anonymous.

By emailing [email protected], to address the whole board.

By contacting their Denver RTD director. Those who don’t know which Denver RTD district they are in can enter their address on the board of directors page, and they will be provided with contact details for the board member who represents them.

Résumés for all five finalists are available for review.

The board has established next steps in the process for selecting an interim general manager and CEO. Reference calls and background checks on all five finalists are being conducted this week. The board will meet in executive session on Jan. 28, prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting to proceed with its decision-making process. If the board isn’t finished with its discussion, it will return to executive session following the board meeting to continue the selection process.
