Patti Boekamp to Manage WSP Transportation Team in San Diego
Patti Boekamp has been named vice president and transportation area manager for the San Diego office of WSP USA.
In her role, Boekamp will work with the regional leadership team to lead civic engagement, client relations and business development strategy in the San Diego area. She will provide oversight for the civil/highways, planning/environment, drainage, traffic and structures departments and will be responsible for overall business metrics performance.
“As we continue to strengthen our offerings by providing comprehensive services to our clients, we will tap into Patti’s strategic approach,” said Christopher Peters, WSP’s West region business manager for the transportation business. “Her extensive industry background will enhance our team and further support the increasing needs of our clients. Our office in San Diego has certainly enjoyed a steady progress and continues to evolve and develop new and innovative systems.”
Prior to joining WSP, Boekamp worked at an international engineering firm as principal program manager tasked with marketing and business development efforts, staff management and expansion, and providing services on major projects for clients such as the San Diego Association of Governments, City of San Diego, California High-Speed Rail Authority and Los Angeles World Airports. Additionally, Boekamp spent over 20 years at the City of San Diego in various roles including director of engineering and capital projects.
Boekamp is a member of the San Diego State University College of Engineering Industry Council and a steering committee member for the City of San Diego career management program.
