Fleet owners and managers interested in learning how propane autogas can help lower emissions while also reducing a fleet’s total cost of ownership will have plenty of opportunities at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, thanks to the Propane Education & Research Council’s large presence at the show later this month. PERC will showcase propane autogas fleet vehicles in its booth, No. 5591, and PERC Chief Operating Officer Tucker Perkins is slated to speak about propane autogas’s financial and environmental benefits during the show’s Green Truck Summit.

“There’s a lot of excitement leading up to the show this year as sales of propane autogas light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles increased by nearly 8 percent in 2016 compared with 2015 end-of-year figures,” Perkins said. “This means that at the start of 2017, nearly 200,000 propane autogas vehicles are supporting fleets across the United States in clean, cost-effective transportation.”

Show attendees are invited to learn more about the benefits of propane autogas and take a look at vehicles and propane autogas equipment on display in the PERC booth, including the following:

  • A Ford F-750 from Roush CleanTech.
  • A GM crew cab from PSI.
  • A stand-alone PSI 6.0L engine.
  • A Superior Energy Systems fuel dispenser.

Visitors to the PERC booth can also try their hand at unlocking the benefits of propane autogas from several lockboxes with a key chosen from a bowl in the booth. Inside the lockboxes are three tiers of prizes, each designed to represent a key benefit of propane autogas.

As part of the Green Truck Summit, Perkins will present “Propane Autogas — A Viable Economic Solution for Emissions Reduction” during the 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. educational session on Wednesday, March 15.
