UITP has announced the opening of the Call for Contributions for the International Bus Conference 2019: alongside our new event name, we’re looking for your new ideas.
By answering the Call for Contributions, you can take the opportunity to become part of our biggest edition yet – where the worldwide bus sector will come together to discuss the way forward.
This is an exciting opportunity and is a call for individual contributions, open to any individual from any organisation, regardless of their membership in UITP.
The Program Committee, together with the Secretariat of UITP, has identified the focus of around 70% of the sessions for our Conference.
The Committee is also identifying a number of high-level and headline speakers to feature in the program.
By submitting a contribution, you’re applying to speak in the program of the Conference, or as an exhibitor; for a speaking slot in the program in addition to exhibiting in the Busworld Expo. “Take the opportunity to present your solution and best practice in front of large expert audiences with a sound technical understanding. Specialists in the subject matter will give you fast feedback! Furthermore, benefit from the reputation of an association specialized on technical and operational topics which enjoys widespread recognition across the world.” Arno Kerkhof Head of UITP Bus Division
The International Bus Conference 2019 comes as UITP and Busworld announced the continuation of our strategic partnership. The 2019 edition will see the event take place at the Brussels Expo Centre in the Belgian capital for the very first time (21-23 October 2019) with the previous edition taking place in Kortrijk (23-25 October 2017). By announcing a new venue and location for the continuing relationship the International Bus Conference will be bigger than ever.
The partnership between UITP and Busworld, has seen joint ventures on regional events such as Busworld Latin America (Medellin, 5-7 December 2017) and Busworld Russia (Moscow, 23-25 October 2018).
The International Bus Conference program is steered by a Program Committee on behalf of the UITP Bus Division (UITP Bus Assembly, Bus Committee, Trolleybus Committee), VEI Committee, Busworld Academy and UITP Secretariat. Selected contributions will be assigned by the Conference Program Committee to the relevant session.
