Mountain Metropolitan Transit has installed 25 reflective devices at bus stops to help customers safely signal a bus driver at night or during the early morning hours. The Bus Stopper devices were installed at bus stops that were recommended by bus drivers and other bus stops with low lighting and high ridership.
“With daylight savings time approaching these devices will help bus drivers see customers in low light conditions”, commented Craig Blewitt, director Mountain Metropolitan Transit. “We are monitoring how effective the devices are and hope to install more in 2016 if customers and drivers find them to be beneficial.”
Each unit is marked with a QR code that will take passengers to a short instructional video about Bus Stopper.
