MI: Ann Arbor City Council Unanimously Supports AAATA Transit Tax Renewal

The Ann Arbor City Council is unanimously supporting the renewal of a tax to maintain expanded levels of transit service in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti areas.

The Ann Arbor City Council is unanimously supporting the renewal of a tax to maintain expanded levels of transit service in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti areas.

The council voted 11-0 this week to endorse the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority's millage renewal going before voters in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti and Ypsilanti Township on Aug. 7.

The AAATA is asking voters to renew and restore the same tax rate of 0.7 mills that voters first approved in 2014.
