Request for Proposals: Project #NRTA 2026-03 Architectural and Engineering Services

The Nantucket Regional Transit Authority (NRTA) is seeking to contract with qualified architectural and engineering firm(s) to provide design services to support the NRTA’s establishing its offices and a passenger waiting area at the Greenhound building on Nantucket, MA. Copies of this RFP will be available after 9:00 AM on Thursday March 19, 2026. www.nrtawave.com

This contract is subject to a financial assistance contract between NRTA, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The performance of this contract is subject to the requirements of U.S. Government Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and applicable equal employment requirements. Minority Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals and will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.

Bid proposals will be received until 1:00 PM on April 8, 2026. Any proposals received before said date and time will be opened and read aloud publicly on the bid opening date, unless notified otherwise, by the Administrator or his designee at the Administrative Offices.  All contractors will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General’s list of ineligible contractors.
