The City of Wilsonville, OR, has added an intelligent transit system (ITS), with the ETA Transit System's flagship ITS, SPOT. SPOT has a flexible, open architecture allowed the City to implement a variety of new, value-added features that enhanced their riders experience, including real-time arrival predictions, on-board announcements, paratransit scheduling, digital manifests, and integration to its existing Smart Transit website.
Smart's Transit director, Stephan Lashbrook says, "It was not easy, selecting from among eight well-qualified firms. But, in the end, it was the positive responses from ETA's various references that really put them on top with our review panel. Of the references that I checked, I did not hear a single negative comment about ETA."
"ETA has been very responsive to our needs throughout the project," continues Lashbrook. "When we requested a custom module to better manage fare classes and payments specific to our operations, ETA agreed to develop the solution at no additional charge, between that and the smooth collaboration with our staff, we couldn't be happier to have ETA as our partner for this initiative."
Nicole Castonguay, CEO at ETA Transit Systems states, "At the heart of ETA beats a dedication to helping our customers achieve their operational goals. As much as I would like to say that it's the flexibility that our SPOT ITS offers in meeting this end-and it is true-sometimes it's the culture and dedication of the company itself that sets us apart. Many companies will tout their customer service, but at ETA it's the bedrock upon which we stake our reputation."
