Digital Signage Expo announced the first installment in its free 2018-19 webinar series, which targets specific end user verticals, is to be presented Thursday, December 13 at 2 p.m. ET.

Moderated by Mass Transit Magazine Executive Editor Mischa Wanek-Libman, the 30-minute session will benefit transit operators, technologists and communications professionals responsible for their transit facilities’ digital signage communications network.

Featured discussion leaders include:

  • Doug Anderson, director, information technology, Los Angeles Metro Transit
  • Jason Stuehmer, product manager-digital signage, Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority
  • Derek Fretheim, director of business development, Mouvel Transit

The 30-minute webinar will discuss trends in technology applications including real-time scheduling, wayfinding, first and last mile, including bike and scooter-share, and the evolution of fully automated kiosk service systems as well as scheduling and security alerts. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their innovation “wish list.”

“Promoting public transit without digital signage is like previewing a new movie on flash cards – boring,” said Anderson. “Wouldn’t you really prefer to view an exciting trailer to whet your appetite? Digital signage promotes passenger engagement.”
