CapMetro releases new version of app

Users now have access to Apple or Google Pay, easier fare purchasing and a more robust trip planner among other updates. 

Capital Metro (CapMetro) rolled out an updated, more intuitive version of the CapMetro app. 

The app allows customers to pay for their tickets on the go, stay up to date on where their bus is and map out the entire itinerary 

New features include: 

  • Easy fare pass purchasing: Users select the STORE icon and then can select a single ride, day pass, 7-day pass, 31-day pass, or reduced-fare options to add to their account. 

  • Access to Apple Pay and Google Pay: Users can link their CapMetro app account to their Apple Pay or Google Pay.  

  • Quicker pass access: Users can tap the TICKETS icon and all purchased passes will appear in the list. Tap the pass you want to use to activate it. 

  • Faster real-time tracking: This feature tells users where the next bus is located and the approximate departure time from the stop. 

  • More robust trip planner: The TRIP PLANNER icon maps out the entire itinerary. Users can select routes, times, destinations and more.  

The app is available for Android and iPhones. The update will be installed automatically or manually depending on the customer's update settings. Once the customer receives the app update, they may be prompted to log in and the app will load their available passes.
