An on-demand transit system could arrive at the Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski resorts this winter.
The Placer County Board of Supervisors has approved preliminary measures for the formation of a tourism business improvement district, which would fund a fleet of two to four on-demand shuttles in the resort areas.
There are currently 100 TBIDs throughout California, serving a number of tourism-related projects.
