The installation commemorating the impact of Honest Ed’s on the community will remain on display throughout Bathurst Station until the end of the year, when Toronto’s favourite discount store closes.

Temporary signs hand-painted in the familiar Honest Ed’s style welcome customers at street level, and the windows are decorated with the TTC’s unique take on Ed’s famous punny signs. At the concourse level, a permanent tribute has been installed with photos and store memorabilia. The subway platform walls are decorated with fun facts about Honest Ed’s.

In addition to this unique tribute, the TTC’s November Metropass features Honest Ed’s famous sign.

The installation was created in-house by TTC staff working in partnership with Honest Ed’s staff and sign painters who volunteered their time. The entire project was installed in one night by TTC staff.
