The Topeka Police Department announced it has secured a location for the downtown Community Police Office at the Topeka Metro Quincy Street Station.

Chief of Police Bill Cochran said, “Community police offices help to build relationships with the public as well as businesses. The bus station allows our officers to be in central downtown to serve the emerging business and residential area. Topeka Metro is a valued community partner, and I appreciate the offer to locate at Quincy Street Station."

"TPD and Topeka Metro have often partnered in training, security and other instances and we have a good working relationship,” said Topeka Metro General Manager Susan Duffy. “We welcome the officers at the station and we're pleased the community office works for them."
